Alternative Electro-Mechanical flasher

Post by Kiwibru »

Could not find a Bussman BE 234 or a TruckLite/Signal-Stat 263-4 flasher upgrade for LED tail light installation. NAPA has a Trico made unit (EG-23) that looks to be a spitting image of the TruckLite Signal-Stat unit. It has the same ISO markings, X/P/L and is three prong, 24V. All other features seem to be the same in like feature set. Has anyone ever used this unit instead of those listed as working?
TIA

NAPA Flasher

I installed the NAPA unit (EG23) about a month or so ago and it's been working just fine for me.

Hope this helps.

Wrap tape around the bottom edge of the base, and mount it pins down... or it will hold water.

Thanks for the heads up on the water problem and the fact that it will work. I may just seal the base but still mount it with the pins down as shown on the SDP site document.

I used the NAPA part and it works great, even with my LED tails lights.
