Studs

Post by Boelt63A »

I want to get a die to run down my wheel studs to help get some of the burrs off.
Anyone know what the thread pitch is :?:

Chuck... If its not to bad you may be able to use a thread repair file. Its like a file thats square and has diffrent thread pitches on each side. Mine is made by KD tools and has 2 sizes per side for a total of 8 thread sizes. Its a great tool for the occasional squished thread area. I use a standard chisel to rough the damaged area back to groves then follow up with the file. Works out well for on the trail as I like to make sure all sizes are covered with one tool. Another option is a miniture v shaped file that has the same angle as the tread grooves.
