weatherstrip adhesive

Post by krick3tt »

What is a good weatherstrip adhesive? Is it something I can get at Napa?
I will be replacing the seals at the bottom of the door windows when I install the new rain sills. The stuff in there now seems very rubbery. Also, will be replacing the door seals. Any tips will be appreciated.

3M makes a "Weatherstrip Adhesive" that is yellow and extremely sticky. It should work great on the door frame weatherstriping. On the door sill tracks I used a light coat of NAPA silicone adhesive which worked very well and should let me remove the tracks again if I ever want to.

3M weatherstrip adhesive comes in yellow or black, the black seems to hold better
