Not much about 2 feet max. Some drift are deeper. That's ok cause then I can ride my horse too if it's not too deep.

When does Spring come to that part of the world? Or do you all just have poor sledding during the Summer months? "Just two feet" he says like it's 1/10th of an inch of rain.

Good day all,

They say were going to get another snowstorm today and tomorrow with around 20 to 30 cm of snow.

Andy, these storms all originate from Texas and the mid west. So thank you for all of it.

Spring is beginning tomorrow around noon, so in the middle of the storm.

And as you say, ‘’I admire ya'll for being able to do it in such a warm climate down there’’

And I will try to get these pictures of the snow depot so get the full idea of how much we had.

Denis, I thought about you the other day when I read that you all are getting ready to break the all time record for snow. Actually, I think the story was from Montreal.

I actually had a little rain yesterday. It amazes me that often any rain I get is pulled northeast by a low pressure system north of me and the moisture comes from the Pacific Ocean and not the Gulf of Mexico. Other times when the fronts converge we get some pretty nasty storms.

Enjoy your snow and I'll wait to enjoy the pictures of it.

Good day all

First of all thanks to Andy for having this storm from Texas sent to us.

The last record for snow falling was 461 cm (181 inches), we broke that record last week end. And now with the last one we are over the 500 cm (197 inches). I still could not find the time to go to the snow depot to take picture of those mountains of snow, too busy shoveling and clearing it all. I’m running out of room to put it.

But here what it looked like yesterday.

I’m thinking of selling some on E-bay.

Denis you are welcome for the record breaking snow. Just looking at the pictures makes me shiver and curls my toes.

I don't think it was quite as heavy when I lived in Chicago in the mid-70's, but I do remember only being able to see the rooftops of houses as you drove down the main thoroughfares. Mall parking lots where reduced to about a quarter of their normal size from all the snow dumped there and they were dumping it into Lake Michigan. I also remember 50 below windchills. Yuck.

This is on my way to the first snow depot.

This is the first snow depot that was close after an avalanche buried 10 dump trucks

This is the same snow depot, picture taken from the access ramp. Look at the size of the train on the left compare to the height of the depot

A second snow depot closed.

And one that was open last week.

Better know where you are going. The snow is up to the road sign.

Finally back home on my street.

Hope you liked it. And Andy, when we get that much snow usually the winter is not to cold.

Great pictures Denis. I think the word COLD has various definitions or interpretations. Sort of like once the thermometer gets above 102 F, it doesn't really matter how much higher it goes it's still hot. These days for me cold is anything below about 48 F.

Maybe that will all melt before next fall's first snowstorm.

I sure hope it will melt before next fall. I’m making a new bumper for the new winch and I sure hope I will get a chance to try it soon. Some one said ‘’if you haven’t got it stuck it’s because you haven’t try hard enough or something like it.

They say it should all be gone by the end of April.

I've gotten stuck without trying. The winch idea is good, but it's better in my opinion to have invested the money and not have to use it than it would have been to not have spent the money and wish you would have.

Let's hope you don't have floods and mega swarms of mosquitoes with the snow melt.

Its great, you guys just carry om working and going on whit you business, you do not appear to let the snow interfere much. Back here in GB everywhere except perhaps for Scotland life grinds to a halt with just 1" yes that reads one inch of snow. Schools close these days poeple get sent home early. The motorways grind to a halt trains stop running airports close down. It is amazing how just the smallest amount of snow cripples this country GB. Ye when I was a boy when snow was more common life just carried on. Keep the snow pictures coming I can not have too much of that. Its incredible seeing the scale of things.

Next week, I’m going on a snowshoe ride that is going to bring us in a place called the ‘’Montagne Fendue’’.

This is a place that you can only get by snowshoes in winter or a long walk in the summer. No motor vehicle can get there too rough. This is the place where I have seen the most snow in my life. Sometime when I go their in the summer, there is still snow and ice in August. I want to go there to see how much snow is up there. It is going to be something I’m sure.

So Anthony and you all will get a couple more nice pictures of our winter but from the wild.
