Jer,
I used the foam rubber rapping they put on A/C lines. It comes in 4 ft. lengths and is slit on one side. I found it in Home Depot in plumbing section I believe. They make two types. One is foam, the other is foam rubber. The foam rubber fits well and has quieted my engine noise considerably.
For those with soft tops, it fits perfectly around the canvas support bars to help eliminate canvas chatter.
