Seems the common signs of an issue are a sloppy shift pattern or a large pattern. The shift pattern should be very small if all is working and adjusted properly. I could almost hit my heater controls when putting it into 4th. The tranny would shift fine just required a lot more travel of the shifter. The linkage had been "welded" in a couple of places and the gusset was added before I got it over 4 1/2 yrs ago.

Just a heads up when you are crawling under the truck. Just glance at the corner and connection points.

Well that's good news....As I remember the pattern on mine is quite small, and not sloppy...but as I crawl around under there, I will give that area a real good look.... thanks again.
