The Desert Bar

Post by Kirby »

If you have never been here ~ there is at least two ways in. The way it is written below and the Pinzgauer way  ! You really need specific directions if going in the Pinz - which I can provide if you want. If going off of the directions below, any normal car will make it down the dirt road.

http://www.thedesertbar.com

The "Nellie E Saloon" is located 5 miles
off the Cienega Springs Rd exit on
Hwy-95, approximately 5 miles north of
Parker, Arizona.
We are open Labor Day weekend
through Memorial Day weekend,
Saturdays and Sundays only from high
noon till sunset, and holidays during
these months. THE BAR IS CLOSED
DURING THE HOT SUMMER MONTHS.

Most 4x4 can make it out, except for wider vehicles, lucky for them, the most narrow part is at the beginning, so, if they can not make it past that, at least it is a quick back out and around to the normal persons way in.

Check out the pictures on Page two of the web site.... IF I still have mine come October - I might make an effort at making a meet and greet trip for anyone who is in the area.
Pinzing is AWESOME.

Cool place, The SWPA had its Treffen in Parker in '05 and stopped by the bar. A couple of nice trails in the area also. Definately worth the stop and a good place to wash the trail dust down.

I do not like this word "bomb." It is not a bomb. It is a device that is exploding. Jacques le Blanc

Mike

The memories don't have to end just because you don't have your pinz anymore. You are still welcome to come down with us anytime. I was hoping to run into you at the Hump and Bump in Vegas last year.

Well, I am going out to the Desert Bar this weekend. I would love to make this a trip with others, but what the heck.... the temps are going to be pushing 110 this weekend in Havasu.... I know the Pinz can handle it, but can I????

I will ride in the Suburban with the AC going full force unless I hook up with another Pinz..... so if you are lurking..... let me know if you are interested....
