timing?

hi all whats a good way to set the timing? should i use a timing light. or is there a way to measure it with the pin and the lower pully? :?

I use a spare 12V battery siting in the passenger foot well. Connect your light clamp around #1 plug wire, loosen dizzy collar bolt, good to go.

IF you have points ignition you could static time with a continuity light. With pertronix not sure if you can static time? never tried it.

Even if you static time always check with light after to make sure.
Just get in and go....
