timing?

hi all whats a good way to set the timing? should i use a timing light. or is there a way to measure it with the pin and the lower pully?

I use a spare 12V battery siting in the passenger foot well. Connect your light clamp around #1 plug wire, loosen dizzy collar bolt, good to go.

IF you have points ignition you could static time with a continuity light. With pertronix not sure if you can static time? never tried it.

Even if you static time always check with light after to make sure.
