San Bernadino Earthquake

Post by Bruce Berger »

Jim,

Did you make it through the earthquake this evening unscathed? I was listening to the Outdoor Adventure USA ham radio net on the Keller Peak repeater when it hit. People started reporting in right away. There was no damage or injuries reported but I understand it shook pretty strong down your way. I didn't feel anything up here in Tehachapi.

A roll a jolt and it wae over. No damage found yet.
USGS shows it was a 39 second event, it shook the mountain communities harder than the foothills.

All we got was one quick, sharp jolt just over the county line here. Just enough to let you know there was a quake. :D

Not to change the subject. What is (Outdoor Adventure USA ham radio net)?

Is it in every state?

I am up in Big Bear at our motorhome by the lake and it was nothing more than a sharp snap and roll, infact we thought our son was jumping on the bed in the back of the coach, we did turn on local news which place the epicenter at 7mi. below the san Bernadino police station @ about 4.5 in magnitude, nothing seriously damaged just pass another beer and enjoy the ride.....lol
