We have been having some fairly warm weather in Scotland (you know we are not used to it being more than 20 C) So I have fitted a solar ventilator on the roof where the ariel mount was. Great thing is the one I bought was exactly the same size as the ariel mount so a really neat fit! Painted it looks original part. Of course it hasn't been so warm since so not sure how good it is!

ScottishPinz - We've been "enjoying" afternoon temps near 39C here lately so I've actually been considering a trailer mounted air conditioning unit
for my Pinz.

Eric,it's a Redot 6100,I believe it was rated at around 16000 BTU under ideal conditions. I fabbed a bracket for the compressor using the parts manual pic as a guide. The unit can be had in 24v,and the sanden compressor is 24v also. Not counting my time I have around $1500 in it. Sure is nice on dusty trails with the group, close windows and turn it on,adj the tunes and have a cool drink!
It draws so little power that I've had no need to turn it off.

That does look really nice and factory. Be anxious to hear how it does.ScottishPinz wrote:We have been having some fairly warm weather in Scotland (you know we are not used to it being more than 20 C) So I have fitted a solar ventilator on the roof where the ariel mount was.
