Carlos,

You know about my wife's "only one Pinzgauer at a time" rule.

I do know where there's a cream puff Haffinger that's probably available and that might qualify as a half a Pinz. Two 712s in the driveway will not be happening!

I got to drive in a factory prototype 6*6 Haffinger thats for sale. Nothing like doing close to fifty MPH. in something that small. It would look real good next to your 712m. :D

Wait, I read here on the forum (in the lost messages) that there are no 6x6 haffies, you must be mistaken!

Next you'll tell me that you saw a short wheelbase 710, EFI to boot! :P

Have fun,

Alan

No, I got to drive that one! 8)

All though that was nice. Still like driving over the tree's in auto pilot. I think even Russ was Impressed.

It's geared too high for the RTPT. The combination of the wind resistance, weight and the 710 xfer case with the TD tranny is way more gearing than that truck can effectively use, except on the freeway. For a 712, it should be perfect with the 712 xfer case; for a 710, I think the gearing would be too high unless most of your driving is over 60MPH.

I was driving the RTPT at 65MPH when I drove it down the freeway, and I would guess I was turning less than 3200 RPM (the tach doesn't work).

edit: I forgot to mention that I've got a 2.7 injected motor that makes more power, and it still is geared way too high.

I believe that is the costa-rica Pinz. NOt one of the 8 done here. You can see in the video the US pinz has much more power TOOL TIME GRUNT

Mike what number is yours? Here's one of the eight in salt water. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tjnee-GIPpc&feature=fvsr

Of course they put so much salt on the roads here during snow I can only imagine the same effect is going on.

Guys
The tropical Pinz clip is T'n T alright, I recognize the registration numbers on the Lanchas and the beach! Having worked at Passenger Transport Service Company (PTSC) Port of Spain often in my lurid past and spent time "wid de locaals" enjoying curried goat, roti, and "de reeeal" shandy from Carib Breweries .
Besides the topography is unmistable like nowhere else--except beautiful Venezuela--- The land of eternal Springtime--unmistakeable!
Si Senorrrrrrrrrr!

Well, this pinz sure looks like the pinz in the video. But it's not in the V Image

Did I mention my brother lived in Granada St. Vincent & Trinidad for several years. Depending on which island was destroyed by storms. :o While his wife finished medical school.
