Double Post.
Vince, Not sure if you're following lately? There are a lot of double post out there. I somewhat under stand if there last post has slipped to the next page but when it's made three or four treads away it's annoying.

As a reminder, or if you did not know. If you place a post and it came up twice or more, you ( as the poster) can delete your last post if there is no posts after you. So, please check your submited posts to be sure they didn't go through twice.
Once a post is made after you, you cannot delete a post or a thread ( if you started it, and no other post have been made).

Dave, I have a couple of complaints with the changes in the forum as it is going to screw with the way I had used with search function. I'll give you an example There are two treads in the Body & Interior section that really belong in the customization section IE E-trac and Baby seats. It would be nice if YOU or Vince would put stickys at the top of each section on examples what should be posted here. Also if someone post in the wrong section if it could be moved to the right section. It sure would help the few of us that use the search function.

So… I understand that E-tracks may fall into the “Owner customizations & accessories Things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse!?) and aftermarket add-ons.” section instead of the “Body & Interior All things body, interior, paint, windows, tops... you know.”. My question would be, applying the same posting logic should electronic ignition be in “Owner customizations & accessories Things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse!?) and aftermarket add-ons.” or “Electrical All things relating to the flow of electrons in a Pinz.”?Erik712m wrote:Dave, I have a couple of complaints with the changes in the forum as it is going to screw with the way I had used with search function. I would think electronic ignition would fall into the “Electrical” however being that it obviously is a customization…??
Isn’t changing the topic in a thread not just as confusing?
I do realize that in the “General chat” section the normal posting rules do not and should not apply and subject changes are common within a thread.
Hope I don’t offend anyone with this post, if I have I’ll say I’m sorry in advance.

There will always be problems looking for some topics, and what section they should/can be in.
Within the technical topic's threads, I would like to see clear, concise subject names being used to ease a member lookup by scanning through the topic heading, and above all, if the topic drifts, start a new thread with the proper subject name. Afterall, that was the intent of the forum structure.
As far as me doing anything, I have no deity powers here
I only have the ear of Vince in my suggestions . But, before I suggested anything, I look at the pros and cons, and make sure the pros are well worth it.
Vince did ask if I would be willing to 'moderate ' the new forum, since most of the new layout was from me ( blame me if you don't like it, I gave Vince good reasons for the changes
). There are some more changes that I had suggested, but neither Vince nor I know how to do them .
If the group so wishes, and Vince is agreeable, I am willing to take on the duty.... though I see very little needs to be done, at the moment. People are getting the feel of how things need to be placed and done. When the last update to the forum was done, people were slow to post, because they weren't sure where something should go... I had to give an example. If I can ever figure out how to implement the rest of the ideas, this forum will be even easier to find something, in a type of FAQ sections.
Ed, I don't remember ever seeing any of your posts out of place. I apologize for the time you thought you had posted wrong when you were new here, but it was really coincident that your post was submited just before mine, and I was picking on some that should have known better.... there was nothing wrong with what you had posted ( whatever it was )... you just happened to step in front of the bullet.

Dave, I think ED was asking a question? There does seem to be quiet a bit of confusion on were things should be posted. As I remember from the last time this was brought up even efi should be in owner customizations & accessories. I believe a sticky with examples of what goes were would help allot as the forum gets more threads it's going to be a nightmare to find. Don't think ED stepped in front of any bullets.
