What is best carb sync tool under $100?

Post by edzz »

I’m getting ready to rebuild my carburetors and need to buy a carburetor synchronization tool. What is the best? Don’t really want to spend a lot however I’ll spend what I must to get a good tool. Anyone have opinions on accuracy and ease of use of different models?

Thanks Ed

Cheapest sync tool!!!??
A piece of rubber hose that will fit into "yur earole"!
Should be about 3 feet long and cost you about $5 from Napa.

Place it at the side of the throat and listen to the roar when the engine is running then sync the rest up achieving the same roar!

That is an old sage's tool from the 1950's and 60's. I was taught how to do this on multi banks of SU's fitted to E types and Daimler V8 Darts--don't "larf" it works!
Trivial question?
Faced with a Jag V12 and four SU's or Strombergs, what's the order of tune on the four carbies?
