Finally got My Pinz Registered as a Classic in Poland!!
OK so the procedure for registering as a classic in UK? simple, the vehicle merely has to be built before some date in 1972. You then have free road tax (saves something like £150 per year) but you still have to pass a safety test every year. Here in Poland you have to have an engineers report, (the engineer visited us at our place 3 times to take photos and measurements and to check and record all serial numbers. He did a good job by researching on the internet, because as far as we know there is only one, maybe two others in all of Poland and he head never heard of one before ours came along. This registration process although drawn out....cost circa £120 and that is it....we run on yellow 'classic' plates and are expected to keep the vehicle in good condition, (there is no road tax here and diesel is a lot cheaper than UK) there are no real restrictions (I think if you are 'selling on' you have to offer it to local auto museums first and it must be sold within Poland...but as we are keeping the Pinz until I,m too old to drive it, I don,t think this will matter). Photos to follow later...we are just in the process of moving into our new house.

Congratulations! You live in a very nice region of Poland.
But believe me, there is more Pinzgauers in Poland then you
would believe. I know of at least 5 more owners.
Next year in Summer I will be in Poland competing in two races
with my Pinzgauer. If I find a Pinzgauer on my way I will stop and
ask the driver if he calls himself dreadnought

Thanks Richard, it is a very primitive but beautiful area, mostly unspoilt and so many places for us to drive the Pinzgauer and our Unimog. So many of the roads are merely tracks. I am glad to hear that there are more Pinzguers in Poland. I do wish there had been more Unimogs registered as tractors though!!!! I had to register mine as a 'truck'. It was registered as a tractor in UK, but they said it did not meet the requirements for a tractor in poland.!!!! I tried to explain about the new generations of fast tractors, but to no avail....I suppose it will catch up here eventually, they have fixed in their heads that a tractor is an Ursus 330!!! which is the dominant tractor hearabouts!! I,d like to try them on a new JCB Fastrac and see what they make of it? Regards Steve (My Number Plates are Yellow and the Number is RSR 9C) My Pinz is a black 710K
