gas heater black soot in tail pipe

Post by westernair »

The last few weeks I have noticed that my gas heater is giving off alot of black sooty smoke. I really know minimal about these gas heaters and do not have a manual on how to maintain them. Any ideas on what I should look for on it?

Now if I could figure out how to access the points on a bn4. It would be nice if we could find a bn4 manual with a good English translation that doesn’t make the assumption that one already knows what they are doing. Some of the VW sites are fairly good however the wiring and fitment become confusing to sort through.
