So I'm selling my 710m and a local comes to check it out. As we drive around the block, it dies and will not start. its 9pm. We tow it back, i let them drive my 712 and i get to work tearing apart the fuel pump after i figure out there is no fuel in the bowls. I have spark, i have compression, nothing coming out of the pump.
I get to work this morning and although i can feel slight pressure from the factory pump, i snag a car quest pump and new filter. I install. No fuel coming out. I crank it for ever. nothing. I then realize that they reversed the in and out on the CarQuest version (top is in, bottom is out) and still, nothing filling the fuel filter.
That should have given it away...
I was out of gas.

Re: Pie in my face...
I can safely say I have never ran my pinzies out of gas once, three times so far and counting, stupid inaccurate aftermarket gauges
Re: Pie in my face...
I ran it out once, but I had the spare can and filled it in the middle of the street with cars whizzing by me.
Gauge read 1/4 full, it was then that I discovered the gauge is not all that accurate. Always keep that spare can full now.

It just goes to show you... 9 times out of 10, it's a simple problem with a simple fix! Gotta love these trucks.
