The only thing that solved my dying batteries issue was simply removing all that electronic crap! After all, who really thinks that CD's are appropriate in a loud, dirty, old military military 4x4 anyway? And air conditioning?... in a canvas topped truck? Really?
Also, the last place I would dream of bringing sensitive electronic devices like a laptop is in a Pinzgauer. I have to take a shower after driving mine since I usually end up covered in dust and dirt.
Just sayin'.....
just to clear things up, as off as this sounds, i LIVE in my pinz. economy is rough, but its perfect for deep woods boondocking. i have a 712 ambulance, with the back converted to a camper. I have realized after living for a month or so now in my pinz, that i don't need a lot of the stuff i thought i did. i don't spend much time inside it unless weather is bad and i sleep inside. driving from place to place is really it. having said that, i would still like to be able to charge a phone, and a cb would come in handy i think. my computer stays in the back, so i don't need to worry about dust, i keep it rather clean back there. just no way to charge it is all.
