Cool Motors - You silly silly people

Post by audiocontr »

My standard RSS feed just listed this for a pinz available in Phoenix:
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/ctd/2793188919.html

You can read over the ad and the price isnt bad, nor is the truck. Its the marketing that made me laugh.

"Thank you for visiting another one of Cool Motors's exclusive listings! This vehicle is fully-loaded. With just 18639 miles, this Puch is barely broken in. Very clean interior! It seems that this vehicle was owned by a non-smoker. Neither the ashtray, nor the cigarette lighter, appear to have been used in this vehicle. All electronic components in working condition. All interior components are in good working order. A PINZGAUER STEYR PUCH in this condition, with these options and this color combination is an absolute rarity! This vehicle is priced to sell. This is destined to be a classic. No frills, just function. This vehicle was used as a fair-weather Puch only.

This had a selling price in 1972 of $110,000.00

There is nothing else like it..Laugh at a Hummer H1 when you see it stuck.

Green with green interior, a rare color combination for a Pinz... yeah right!...

Anyone knows what is the black 1950's station-wagon in the background? Chevrolet Bel-Air? It's not listed on their website... (http://www.azcoolmotors.com).

Edit: did my homework :D I think it's a '55 Bel Air, 2-door station wagon.

Not just a 55 bel-air wagon but a Nomad model.
I had a black 55 myself 25 years ago. The Nomads demand a heavy premium now days. Wish I had kept mine as an investment for my son's education expenses.

Besides the blackout bulb on the front what options did these come with from the factory? Seriously, these things have less options than the Model T came with.

Don't tell me yours didn't come with alcantara seats, adaptive cruise control, 4-zone air conditioning and vanity mirrors...

Except for the neat things Westernair added, mine came with nada, zip, zero.

Although since my father was in the Swiss military when they first came out it came with a bunch of stories my dad never bothered to tell me before.
