WTF? Message from steelsoldiers.com?

I haven't been on the site itself for years (and would not suggest visiting now), since finding my 712. I must have registered at some point.
Curious if anyone else received an email from "support@steelsoldiers.com" telling of an occupy congress/house of parliament in November to demand (paraphrasing) "end of wars, forgiveness of all debts and redistribution of all wealth"...

This seemed, well let's just say "out of character" to my (possibly naive?) sense of political assumptions.
So I just replied back with "hacked?"

Then i received this with the subject "YOU ARE A COWARD"

"You should be thankful for this. You get important information and a positive message, much more important than what you would be talking about if you were going to be talking about anything else.

You get your forum tested for vulnerabilities and dangerous holes exposed, holes that are actively being used by malicious hackers to install malware and steal money from people. Holes that are easy to fix and should have been fixed months ago.

You get emergency response training that you cannot get anywhere else, from someone that means you no harm and only has to get the message out.

The message itself is vital for your survival. Like it or not, the Revolution is coming, and you are not going to sit this one out. If you choose to fight against Us just because you don't like being hacked, you are making a terrible mistake.

Do you think that you can just hide with your guns and fight off the New World Order army when they come for you? Did Waco and Ruby Ridge teach you nothing? Or will you just do nothing and submit when they come to take away your guns, enslave you and your family, and kill 90% of the population?

You should put your guns to good use while you still can. Time is running out and nobody will be more sorry than you if it does run out without you doing anything to resist.

You like to think that you are defending Liberty and exercising your freedoms, but you are actually a traitor to all those who love Liberty, because you sit back and do nothing while legislators are taking away freedoms piece by piece. So don't complain that you don't like being hacked and if you are trying to fight us, you are fighting the wrong people. There are people that are talking about hacking us back and threatening violence. This is hypocrisy, because if it's okay for you to hack someone, then you have no grounds to be offended about being hacked, and by all counts hacking is less offensive than violence. It is also treason, because we are actively fighting for freedom, while all you do is talk and your words don't match your actions. Of course, you think it's much easier to fight us because you think we are small and weak, and the NWO is big and strong, but this just shows you for what cowards you really are."

I got one also. Their site is down for "service". I believe someone hacked into their system and I only hope that "the someone" didn't steal info or plant a virus in my machine. Time to delete contact with Steel Soldiers who I must have registered with at some point also.

I feel violated. !!!!

I am on a mac, but these days...paranoia creeping. don't want to log on to unsubscribe (assuming that's even possible). guess i'll tag it as spam/junk and hope for the best.
it's hard not to be impressed at the impact one little turdball hacker can have on someone (me) presumably very far away. I appreciate the fact that this forum remains civil
with regards to political opinions and my intent was not to introduce a political discussion, just commenting on the delivery method and choice of target segment. For me,
This site has always been a haven FROM political noise, and I appreciate the welcome respite on a daily basis.

Just as a FYI...
This forum, the contributors and it's moderators are marvelous.
The information in the forum allowed me to reach out 2 years ago and buy a 710K (missing it's top and "slightly" rusty but it ran)
The contributors kindly gave me all the information I needed to make the evils of time and abuse somewhat better.
Expedition Imports, SAV and Jim L helped with the stuff I couldn't do... I met them through this forum.
I feel (perhaps wrongly) that if I see ANY pinz in the US, I can honk, you will pull over and we will trade stories, shake hands, smile and be on our way. I know I have been honked at in Carlsbad and met a forum member.

BUT...
This forum has been hacked and will likely be hacked in the future (hopefully not in the near future). When this happens, it is not necessarily the fault of the moderators, since they are doing what they know to do. They cannot thwart a determined attack. The pressure on software, servers and related systems connected to the net is just too intense.

The only thing we can do is support the site's benefactors (Expedition Imports and Vince (via paypal)) so that the moderators can do timely updates and backups on the forum package and it's supporting server(s). So, if you haven't... do.

And if you see a tan 710KS in So Cal, don't hesitate to honk and wave. I have most of the rust under control and is no longer "catching".
