I’m exploring options for a household move from Los Angeles, CA to Post Falls, ID.
I’m wondering if my 710K will fit in a 16’ “POD” or if I should use a car shipper or some of the moving company’s say they will haul it in the moving van.
Trying to explore all my options.

Having seen the insides of a POD, I don't think you have many tie down options. They are really meant for stacked boxes etc.

I wondered about tie downs, haven’t seen inside a Pod their web page mentions tie downs however I kind of wondered if their idea of a tie down is the same as mine.
So… packing peanuts wouldn’t work?

A friend parks his 710m in a shipping container during the winter- are they the same dimensions as a POD? no idea about the tie-downs though.

I wouldn't attempt shipping a vehicle in a POD.

Hi Ed, I shipped my 710K up from Chino to the PDX area on a car carrier through a broker for $750. Made it here with no issues.

I've not yet had a bad experience with uship.com, but have admittedly not used it for a pinz. The prices tend to get better if your timing is flexible and the shipment percolates for a week to collect a range of offers. Might quote the general size of a VW bus or Wrangler since pinz pics have a look that is larger than it actually is.

I’m now looking at using a 17 foot U-Haul truck with a car trailer, will let me transport the heavy/ fragile household goods along with the stuff the movers won’t haul.
This moving stuff is more stressful now than it was when I was single. More stuff and more considerations.

Hi Ed: Let me know when you get settled. I get over to Spokane occasionally for business. I would like to see your truck.
