Here in Tacoma we are enjoying the 34th annual freedom fair. Large gathering of 150,000 people along the waterway for a day and night of fun. We came down at 6am to set up a pop up then went home. Back down at 11 with the kids. Had to walk a good mile to make it to our spot.
Around 2 I left everyone to go home for a bit 3 miles away. On my way back I decided to to try and sneek the hafi in to cut down on the walk. Told the police i was a vendor even though i did not have the window tag he let me in as if I was in one of the official golf carts.
Parked across the street from our spot! Gotta love these little trucks!

74 and overcast today. Clouds are high so should not interfere with the fireworks.

Tech, you don't catch flak from the cops?
I probably wouldn't make it a mile without getting stopped...

Nope all good here as far as I know.cascade.king wrote:Tech, you don't catch flak from the cops?

Was talking to Jim L last week and he said same thing for Cali
I have been past plenty of cops without them even giving me a second look (I always assume they will stop me based on the strange/small vehicle size but so far so good
Edit: just checked and only real rule is "the windshield shall not be crazed, cracked, clouded, fogged or damaged, so as to materially impair the operator’s vision"

Re: 4th of July
I was told that I have to where eye protection if driving with the windshield down. Just like a motorcycle here in Washington.

Last I knew in Washington state you were not required to have a windshield, however you are required to have windshield wipers.

I was pulled over about 15 years ago in by bus with the Safari windows open, the officer among other things did check to make sure my wipers worked.edzz wrote:Last I knew in Washington state you were not required to have a windshield, however you are required to have windshield wipers.
Weird law for sure.
