Swiss Army sign / Plaque

I happen to like the Suisse Armee plaques that some
people had made, so I had one hand painted at a local
shop.

Can anyone tell me the significance of the number 2
on the rear plaque?

It was faded after 42 years of neglect,
so we just copied what was already there. Anyone?
