Two guys tried to steal my truck yesterday....

Post by EmbarkChief »

Well, at least that's what I thought was happening!

I used the Pinz over the weekend to haul some mulch (bagged) for my house and subsequently drove it to the office Monday morning. I parked it in my normal spot up front right outside the office windows. Fast forward to about 10:00am when two guys walk in and ask the receptionist if Willie was here so he could help load up the Pinzgauer outside. Well we don't have a Willie and knowing it was my truck the receptionist came and got me. Thinking there had to be some kind of weird mixup going on I asked them what exactly they were picking up and they stated "That old military truck outside, it's a Pinzgauer and we are supposed to take it to Arkansas.". These guys have a car hauler and everything, paperwork the whole 9 yards. Now I'm seriously considering that someone is really trying to pull a fast one, so I asked them what address they were supposed to be at and they said 9430 Wallisville. Well I'm at 9411. Then they called Willie and he said he was right around the corner so I decided to follow them over in the Pinz still not believing that anyone else in my area had one. Well sure enough, 400 yards from my office there is a guy with a black SAV shirt on unloading (2) 712's from containers. Hells Bells, now it all started to click. Willie, Arkansas, SAV. So the short story is I got to meet Willie, was a happy coincidence to say the least. I've been working here for 9 years and never knew the imported trucks came in right across the street from my office!
