I once had a cat crawl up into the engine compartment of a car I had just pulled up outside a garage during a cold winter night. A little while later I came back to pull up the garage door and move the car inside. I heard a funny sound when I started the car and moved forward. When I got out of the car, I found my roommate's cat laid out in the drive way. We took him to the vet. He had a kitty concussion. We had to keep him inside for the next two weeks for kitty observation. This was in case he got kitty amnesia and forgot how to get home.

I wish I were making this up. I have a dog.
