Just saying hello from RMGO

Post by RMGO »

First time on the boards.

I've been a Pinzie fan for a long time, and have known quite a number of owners who bring them out to the machine gun shoots.

In 2013 (during the big gun battles in the Colorado Capitol) I had an RMGO member look longingly at the MagPul Unimog, and ask why RMGO didn't have one. The answer was simple: money. But I could see the marketing attention those vehicles garner.

He quickly said "What if I bought one for RMGO?"

I called Cold War the next day, and Patrick Robb found a beauty.

1975 710m. It was a radio truck, with left side benches removed for the racks. In very good shape.

Repainted it in desert tan (body shop calls it a putty color) and a lot of maintenance.

If you paid attention to 2013 Recalls campaigns against three Colorado Senators (who voted for gun control), the Pinzie was used extensively there...especially on the third.

I'll post a photo soon.

I know Patrick (he's been a long-time supporter of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners), so it's probably a bit different for me.

But I've never had a bad experience with him. Always done top-notch work.

I (actually, Cold War) took out the radio racks and replaced the bench seat, added the antenna (for looks mostly, though it makes a great flag holder). I left the aerial rack attachment just below the windshield.

Letters are as used shortened versions of words quite frequently. Found this to be common when I was in the military in Viet Nam.
What is RMGO? Please explain for those of us that are ancient or not in your circle. It would really help to perhaps get more involved.

I an guessing Rocky Mountain Gun Owners...how far off am I? Might like to be involved in that organization.

Happy trails

RMGO = http://www.rmgo.org

It's Colorado's only real gun rights organization. If you oppose gun control in Colorado, we're the guys fighting (and it's a damn tough battle right now).

Didn't really come on here to promo the group. But happy to answer any questions.
