I didn't know which tech forum to post this in, so please forgive if the topic is misplaced. I didn't find a similar topic when I did a search.
I'm just bought my first Pinz, a 710M, and am not familiar with the common modes of failure it can have when offroading. I realize that these vehicles were designed specifically to take on rough terrain, but things still break and it can be a long walk to civilization. I always carry a case of bottled water and an umbrella.
I was wondering what kinds of spares I should take along when going for an afternoon of wheeling in the desert. What items have failed on you that you would have changed out in the field if you'd had the parts on hand? I want to carry spares in a "Boonie Box" to be prepared for the inevitable.
I've already included the following on my list:
Fan Belt
Fuel Pump (or perhaps just a rebuild kit)
Spark Plugs
Tools for small repairs
I have a Pertronix ignitor with stock coil...
Thanks for your input!

Not sure what one carries for the unfortunate situation of which you speak. ...probably won't have the thing I really need.
In the course of wheeling on my own in the desert of SoCal I found that some MRE's and water were good to have. Fan belt, good cause this is an air cooled engine. Fuel pump, easier to change than doing a rebuild.
Spare coil, good spare tire, oil (if you burn oil) a partner so you can bitch to someone if you get stuck. Good phone to call your friend to come get you if you didn't take a partner.
I am fairly sure that if you do your maintenance well at home there will more than likely not be too much going wrong far away. I went for years, didn't know very much, got stuck a few times and wished I hadn't been so cocky with my new toy.
Hopefully you can diagnose a problem but, I think these things were meant to be worked on by testosterone filled, half stupid soldiers. Carry on.

You really need to get out with us (SWPA) and see how and what some long time pinz owners do and carry for spares. Short notice but we are headed up to the top of Four Peaks for a little camping and just getting out.

One of our guys (SWPA) had his voltage regulator go bad on a trip last year. Fortunately another member had a spare. Now I carry one too.

I don't carry an extra fuel pump, but I guess I will someday. What I've seen guys in Jeeps do here is they zip-tie a gallon or so plastic container filled with fuel up high and run a plastic transparent hose through a hole in its cap to the carb(s). I also always carry extra fuel, and am about to install a second jerry can and carrier under the original one as posted elsewhere on this forum, and a five-gallon water container for helping my water-cooled friend's vehicles and other needs. A good, large 19mm wheel nut wrench is on my to-find list. I'm also in the process of searching for a small CO2 tank for filling up my tires. Oh, and a tow strap will get you or your friends out of trouble, as well as tools, lots of them, including a BFH. An old bicycle would be nice too, but it won't fit in your box.

I can't speak specifically about the Pinz but in general when going off-roading:
Tell or email someone where you are going and when you should be back
My Clamptite tool is invaluable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvUtyCHK2QE
Tire repair kit
Standard recovery gear and tools, tow strap(s), hard and/or soft shackles, jack, etc etc pretty standard stuff
I also have one of these stuffed in my tool bag as a quick reminder
