Swamp Fox testing for the military. Cool articulation. Super rare, apparently only about 40 were made.

Very cool
Wonder if you can "lock it" for on road use as that twist could get you into trouble going fast!

Seeing the picture with the big tires and the date stamp "1962" I would guess this was evaluated as a lighter, smaller and cheaper to maintain alternative to Gama Goats for the South-Eastern Asian theater?

GenevaPinz,
I'm not too sure. I believe the Goats came later, like the '70s.
I ran across the vehicle on a snowcat forum. Apparently, the two Swamp Fox tests involved lots of tracked vehicles, some bikes like Rokons, and lots of wheeled vehicles with various tires. The Power Wagon was the only "wheeled" vehicle to survive the test, IIRC.
EDIT: This just showed up there:

Tried to pick up a Coot a few years back, seller flaked out. Looked like it would have been fun, not in the same league as the Dodge however... http://www.cootworld.com/geninfo/whatis.html

Here's a swivel frame '56 Dodge in action. Looks like he's driving over old dredge tailing piles. Pretty cool
