Has anyone out there come across a source for anything similar? All the grommet manufacturers I've talked to think I'm nuts as soon as I start talking about anything that's not circular!

Hi, I'm working on a one-off custom soft top for a 712M, and can't seem to find a source for the rectangular metal grommets that affix the top to the front edge of the windshield. SAV lists them, but they are out of stock. Has anyone out there come across a source for anything similar? All the grommet manufacturers I've talked to think I'm nuts as soon as I start talking about anything that's not circular!

You could try contacting tuffriverstuff.com. They make Pinz covers and must have a reliable source for those grommets.

This is one for a VW Thing is the same as a 404 Mog but not 100% about the Pinz!
Hopefully, others that still have their 404 and a Pinz can verify

You do need a special tool to punch them down
