Poster Sized Version of Maintenance Plan

Post by GadgetPhreak »

Do anyone know of a vendor who sells a poster sized version of the Maintenance Plan? The largest file I've found is only 6.2mb JPEG which doesn't scale well..

I'd love to get it printed out and put it on the wall of my shop as I'm learning the ropes.. I reached out to Scott at EI to see if he knows of a place and will update with my findings.

Thanks,
Ben

I found that poster recently as well - its very nice and its in english too.

I printed it out at 100% which ends up being about 26 inches wide - didn't look too bad - I think it could go to 200% and be tolerable.

I higher resolution scan would be nice - I would email Constantine Kiesling to see if it would be possible. Maybe we could do a group buy of large print posters...

The biggest version I've found is here:

http://sdp.haflinger-4wd.com/pinzgauer/ ... plan01.php

I'm working with a graphics design shop to try and enhance the resolution as much as possible and then see how big I can print it out. I will share my findings here.

If I can get a run of posters done in high gloss, 100# paper is anyone interested in a copy? I will know pricing tonight/tomorrow. I'm planning to mount one to foam core board so I can mount it in my shop.

Cheers,
Ben

Thank you Ben.

I would be interested in two, if that's possible.

Thanks.

This would be a great document for my upcoming spring "deferred maintenance" catch-up. Been a bit since I drained, lubed and greased everything. Haven't put enough K's on it in the past couple years to justify anything more than an oil change. Looking forward to getting it done.

I'd like to see how clear it is once you get it printed. If it looks nice, I will bite on one.

I printed a 24X36 version on the HP T2500 plotter at work, and it turned out good. Suitable for a poster frame! Anything smaller and the text on the right is hard to read. I think you could put the .jpeg on a flash drive and any print shop or Kinkos could print it for you.

I stole your idea and had one done up here at work as well. Came out quite well!

I had it printed at 36x48 and mounted to foam core and it worked well. The text is a little bit blurry but totally readable. The column headers are the hardest to read. Here's some pics for reference, including a closeup of the text.
