First, buy a 7 X 1.0 bolt and 6" of 3/8" vinyl tubing. I bought mine at Ace Hardware. Also buy 1 or 2- 1/8" drill bits. You will probably use both.

Near the end of the tube, put 2 marks 18.5 millimeters apart, as shown.

Drill out the bolt, going past the threads at least 1/4".

Cut off the bolt about 3/16" from the threads

Put a dab of silicone sealer on the bolt and insert into the tube. Allow to dry a few minutes.

Place several paper towels next to the carb and remove the starter jet screw. Caution- you will lose 2 ounces of gas!
Make sure that you don't lose the metal seal ring that is on the screw.

Screw the tube assembly into the hole, snug it slightly.

Hold the tube upright as shown and have someone start the engine. Shut the engine off as soon as the tube stops filling.

Line up the top mark with the gasket that separates the carb cover from the main bowl. The gas should be at the lower mark, within
one millimeter up or down.

Drain the gas into a container and dispose of properly. If the gas was out of range of the second mark, follow instructions in the manual
as to how to add shims to the needle valve to make proper changes. Check again.
