Clutch stuck - Pinz 710 M rebuild
New to the forum. In 2003, my dad purchased a Pinz 710 M from a friend of mine, and it ran great for many years. We drove it all over the ranch in Falfurrias Texas, and it was unstoppable even in the deep sand. After my dad passed, my mom did not want to pay for a dual carb repair and the Pinz sat. After five years in the barn, I have started to rehabilitate the Pinz 710. After replacing the batteries and fuel, miraculously, I was able to get the engine running but with a heavy blue tail pipe smoke. I'm going around and cataloging problems, and my next big issue is the stuck clutch. Parked on a downward slope, I started it in first gear and was able to drive it around but unable to change gears. The clutch peddle is very soft. I purchased a manual from Expedition Imports and saw the great posts viewtopic.php?t=12011 and viewtopic.php?t=10780 on clutch replacement, but I really want to try every other option before dropping the clutch. Any suggestions? thanks alot! The photo is my outdoor tent workshop I've setup for this project.

Check the clutch fluid reservoir, low or discolored ?
Might have a bad seal in the master or slave cylinder
and not holding pressure or fully actuating, air in there
possibly.
Sitting for so long you need to replace all fluids anyway.

I'm with Ron on this: Replace all the fluids and bleed the clutch circuit. Do that first and see what that gets you.
If you need to look at the clutch, fear not as it's a pretty easy job. But I'd check the other components first. If it's dragging, I'd predict the issues are not in the clutch itself but either the master/slave/fluid.

The clutch fluid is black. I'll start with replacing it and see if I can get some pressure in the line. thanks guys.

Yup, that's your problem. You might get recovery flushing the hell out of
the circuit. It is also possible the slave cylinder is toast the black could
be the gasket material.
As long as there is no corrosion internally the cylinders are easily re-built.
The original cylinders were chrome plated internally, so typically recoverable.
It can be a PITA to get the new gasket on the piston. I clamp the piston into a
vise to get leverage to get the gasket on -- use a rag around the piston to
avoid damage.
Replacement cylinders are available, expensive, and more prone to corroding
than the original, lacking chrome plated internals.
