How to post a pic - BASIC

Do the following to add a photo:

• Start a new post

• Scroll down and click on number 1 first

• Then click on number 2 and find your photo

• Then submit your post

You can also just drag a photo from your file window, straight into the message box!

Please, do not host your photo elsewhere. We have seen many posts ruined by hosting sites that go out of business or change their system.

If it won't load, it's probably too big of a file size. Reduce it by using your computer's photo editing function to get it down to 2.5MB or less. Try setting the width to 1000pxl wide, for example, or reducing size by 50% or more.



Adding a pdf file is the same procedure.

My photos have a file size problem. How do I “shrink” my photos? I clicked on options, but file size wasn’t listed.

A simple way is to make the photo smaller before uploading.
On your phone, the easiest options are usually:

• Crop the photo first if there's extra background you don't need
• Screenshot the photo and upload the screenshot instead
• Or open the photo in your gallery/editor and choose a smaller size or lower quality version if your phone gives you that option

If you're on Android and don't see a resize option built in, there are also free photo resize apps that make it pretty easy.

Use an App like the Free Paint.net and under one of the options is a "resize" option. Make the new size something like 1024 x 1024 and that should let you post them.
