I made these up to dress up the mud flaps and door handles. The larger ones actually are a copy of the front logo. These are made of 16ga stainless steel.

You really did that with a Mig welder and your trusty grinder? Excellent. What are the (silver) poles on each end?
When I read about a swing out tire bracket I thought one was a support, but I see the (smaller) possible support to
the left of the tire, yes? Very interested in seeing the next step(s).

Thanks for the props on the bumper, I am a bit of a hack when it comes to welding though I do enjoy it. If it was not for the grinder you might not think I was that good.



The silver tubes coming up from the ends of the bumper are not welded in yet and are just raw DOM tubing. I plasma cut the original tube bumper off the side supports and will weld these on both to the bumper and the side supports. I have visions of having a removable rear hoop incase I want to have a full length rack. Also figured I could make some removable Jerry can holders that would pin into them.

I like the straight ones too but wanted to be able to pin the mud flaps up like on the original bumper. Also I plan on incorporating a step in between the ends pieces. Thanks for the photos of the swing arm and the pivot mount, that should help.

Although you did a great job with the angles on the bumper square tubing, I'm surprised that you didn't just angle cut the square tubing to have the same square tubing between the outer and inner sections... much simpler in my estimation.

Ya after I bought the metal I realized that. Didn't want to wait till the next day so I just used the plate...
Next time I will be smarter.

gave up on pining up the mud flaps as they kept getting cut at the folds. Now I just pull them over the rear bumper so I don't loose as many. You can see the emblem in the mud flap photo of what happens when they are pinned up and you hit a deep trench. In that case it did not cut the mud flap as it was soft but most times the granite wins and I end up ordering more mud flaps.

The basket set up has worked the best for us so far. Don't even need to strap them in other than keeping them from bouncing. Have not lost one that was not strapped yet. On my upper can mounts I incorporated a locking system to the baskets to keep those who can't seem to remember what is theirs from taking mine.

So far the added weight on the rear of the 710's has worked out well. Don't really notice much on the 712 though.

Can you make up any more of the door handle plates?

The ones in the picture are the remainder of the last order. I can get them cut anytime, so I don't inventory a lot of them.

Taking the pinz out of town for the weekend so will not be around until monday.
