All the black drive line parts are back from powder coat - time to start putting it all back together (just need to clear the tranny and diff's).
Should be done in only a few more years :)

The never ending restoration finally has a tiny update :)
After getting some motivation from seeing some other Hafi restorations, I figured it is time to start moving this forward before I forget how it goes back together!
-15 Celsius, so I just did a small fix to the speedometer.
The original one was replaced long ago but I was able to get a nice Pathfinder unit from Soni in AZ a couple years back.
The center cap had come loose so took it apart and fixed it.
Not 100% sure how many miles my Hafi has on it. I think Jim L said it had under 3000 miles when he replaced the broken OEM unit with a VDO one. The VDO one has 450 miles on it... I may adjust this speedo to 3450 or perhaps 00000 (or just leave it)?
Thoughts?
Only reason I would do 00000 is to start fresh after the full restore but not even sure if that is legal??

Pretty sure it's never legal to adjust an odometer, but it's not like you're trying to sell it tomorrow with "accurate miles". I would set it for my own satisfaction and be very open and upfront with any potential future owner.
