has anyone talked with anyone at the shock place who is an authority on these shocks? they are mono tube?

One question with these Dutchtech Shocks. I installed mine and the exposed rod is is even shorter than the pictures that Jim posted. How much length is needed for the shock not to bottom out while performing? I havn't used them off road so I don't know if they bottom out yet.
This may push me into doing what I have been wanting to do for a while and find some new front springs...

I agree with you Jim, I do need springs. But even in your pictures with your axel almost free swinging, there isn't much room for travel for those shocks... I am assuming with the tire on the hub and the weight of the truck, you could be in the same position. Could the shock body be to long?

No, they are not too long. They are the same lenth as the stock shocks and have identical travel.

Just replaced all four of these yesterday:
The Doetsch shocks have now made the ride
very nice.

Mine were Monroe shocks made in Belgium.
Adjustable shocks

Gentlemen,
Is there any way that these Doetsch shocks can be made adjustable, like the Rancho's ?
There should be a way to pump oil in/out the reservoir. I have asked Doetsch, but no answer on my email...
I like the idea of adjusting shocks for on-road and for off-road. I still have the original shocks and the Pinz does sway about sharply when hitting road-bumps (intended to slow the traffic)
