NWMF2026: The Dark Side of the New Moon

Hello to all!
Our NWMF2025: The Search for Sasquatch was a tremendous success with most people agreeing that this event was one of the best ever. Overall attendance was higher than all but 2017 (total eclipse of the Sun).

The dates for 2026 are August 13th-16th and the theme is: The Dark Side of the New Moon. August 13th will be a New Moon and we are hoping for no cloud cover. Since we live in northwestern Oregon, we cannot predict the weather well. Our plan is to have some very respectable sky viewing equipment deployed on the western edge of the upper tier of our farm in an attempt to see Earthshine with something better than the naked eye.

We also have plans for another lunar-focused event and will be holding it for a total of six days instead of our typical four day event. August 17th-22nd, 2027. It will start with a nice big full moon. More details to follow including its official theme name.
