712 Rear Spring Bushing Replacement

Post by undysworld »

Hi All, The bushing on one of my rear springs seems worn. Over really rough terrain, it allows the ends of the spring to travel close enough to the body to scrape away paint. It also looks pretty old and crusty. Any advice from anyone who's done this job? It looks to me like it's just a matter of removing the shocks/straps, lifting the truck up and off the spring, removing the spring from the truck and replacing the bad bushing. Well, maybe not 'just'.....
Thank you. Paul

Thank you Jim.
I feel like Homer Simpson, "D'oh". I really DID try to search, honest. But I looked for '712 rear springs'.
It sounds as straightforward as I assumed. Hopefully I have no surprises.
