Fuel leak

Post by Oberon »

I have noticed that my rig has been smelling like raw gas over the past week. I looked at the carbs, fuel lines, ect and found nothing. Today after I backed it out of the garage to replace a fog light that was smashed over the weekend, I noticed a puddle of fuel on the driveway. I removed the doghouse and looked around, I was looking at the fuel pump with a mirror, while watching the pump, I started the engine and saw gas coming out of a small hole on the bottom side of the pump. The hole would be on the drivers side of the fuel pump. Any suggestions???

The diaphram is ruptured and gas is leaking into the oil.
Get a rebuild kit from one of the dealers, they are around $40.
Takes less than an hour to rebuild 8)
