Wheel Seal

Post by jacksonpinz »

I have a leaking wheel seal and was wondering if I have to order one from SAV or if I can get a match from NAPA. Thanks

Wheel seal??
Are we refering to the hub seal or wheel cylinder seals?

The hub seal COULD be available off the shelf if the Napa store in question has a comprehensive range. More likely you will need to consult a bearing/seal specialist, CR does have seals to fit.

Remember depending upon build condition two different seals are installed in the Steyr hub, they are not interchangeable and you will only find out which one you have by tear down.

The brake cylinder seals are a big "Doubtful". You might get them from a Tieves agent but its more likely you will need a factory part for that repair.
