Failure rates for parts?

Post by milesdzyn »

Just wondering about failure rates for some parts:

700.1.85.104.0 SUPPRESSOR IGNITION COIL
710.1.09.501.0 RESISTOR IGNITION COIL

These are non moving parts simple in design, just curious if anyone has had any problems with these.

failure of parts

I was told that the radio resistor should be turned so that the hole is down or at least sideways, so that should it get mud and water in it, the stuff could drain out.
Only other issue I have had is the wire from the starter to the resistor (and then to the coil) was hanging on by one strand of the wire and the pinz sould not start. Devil of a time tracking that down.

Cheers,
