Rear Seats + tool box

Post by STPPINZ »

I have had some guys ask me about my rear seats so here it goes...

I wanted to make the Pinz able to seat 6 with 3 point belts. I also wanted to have a place for all my tools and stuff now that I got rid of my saddle tool box. Here is what I came up with.

It is pretty easy for kids to get in, but it can be a little difficult for some to get in. I am designing in my head for a job next winter to cut doors into one side of the truck. Either one that folds down into a ladder of steps or one that opens normal and a step/ladder flods down. Still designing it in my head. I think it can be pretty cool and more useable.

I mounted the spare tire and hi jack to the rear seat

The drawer is 30"x45" and slides out 70%. It holds up to 300 pounds (I tested it by climbing up into it and jumping in it and it held). I can fit all of my hand tools, air tools recovery stuff and still have a lot of room.

This is the where I relocated the batteries.

I am suprised how tight it all turned out. I have been on some long trails in Moab and it all stays nice and tight. So far so good.
