found a link to this sight talking about how many were made and how many in US. Didn't notice weather they broke it down into types though

Seems to not be known how many pinzes are in the US at all. Just how many total were built

There are a lot more M's made than K's. That is why you hear of the 710M radio trucks. The Swiss took the "best" of their M's and made them into radio trucks. They just didn't have enough K's for the job.norcal pinz wrote:is it safe to say that there were less k's made ?

I, for one, am jealous. I will soon be in the market for a pinz and have been looking at what's available and the hard tops seem to be a lot harder to find and, from what I've seen, more expensive when you do find them. Sorry, I do not know anything about the numbers. All I can tell you is it was made in '73 in Austria.
Looks like they are talking about load capacity and towing capacity, etc. with the rest of it. Don't know how to tell anything from the vin though. Just from my looking at ones that are for sale, 10 g's seems to be pretty good assuming it is in decent shape- looks like it is didn't notice any rust or obvious damage from the pics. Could you post more pics of it? I think we would all like to drool at your new aquisition. looks like the very cool five door as opposed to the three.
One source of some good info is Peter Farrer's website- has a lot of info and specs, may have something there

Looks reaql good. That motor sure is clean. The whole thing makes mine look like a pig sty. Dust and dirt everywhere. But, my lubricants are clean. Dust and dirt are mostly a function of where I live and what I use it for. Have fun with it. From the pics, to me at least, it looks like you got your monies worth.
