Help needed on wiring the windscreen-wiper-motor.

Post by JNijst »

Could someone tell me how to hook up the windscreen-wiper-motor ?

I have an Austrian 710M (1975), which was overhauled in 1997 by the Austrian army. I had a slight disagreement with a hill, which threw me off to its side, requiring a new window etc...
When I took the wiper-motor off, the wires seemed tightly aligned - four in a row-, but after changing the window-screen, they're all messed up now and I did not write down the order of the colours of the wires.... Oh poop...
I have four wires with the following colours:
- Brown (full colour, pretty sure that is the ground)
- Black-Grey (purple ?)
- Black-Brown
- Black-White
Plugging them back, from left to right, which goes where....

In the original Swiss electrics-schematic the 4 wires have different colours: red, black, green, brown. So that is no help....
Anybody with this same crazy Austrian wire/colour-scheme that could help ?

I can figure it out partly from the electric-schematic, but still not sure of the positions of the connection-points: 53 / 31b / 53a / 31 on the actual wiper-motor.
In the worst case I could wire up the 24V straight to the ground (sparks), so help is appreciated

Thanks and regards,

Jules

Gentlemen,

I just realized that if someone gives me the line-up of the colours on the standard Swiss wires (red, black, green, brown) on the wiper-motor (from left to right), then I can measure where my wires have to go....

Someone please help by giving me the colour-line-up on the wiper-motor...

Thanks and regards,

Jules

The line up of colours you have posted is the same as mine. L to R. Red, Black, Green, Brown.

Hope this helps.
