(Big) oil leak on my engin.

Hello from France,
I've got a (big) oil leak on my Pinzgauer engin.
Here's some pictures :
The base of the cylinder are oily. [green line]
There is a little of oil at the base of the push rod tube. [red line]
Someone have an idea ?

Ok, now sit down and relax because this is a no brainer
It is time to reseal the top end at the very least
The 30+ year old oil tube seals and O-rings are wet, the cylinder bases are very wet and should be removed, cleaned and resealed as well as inspected for wear while out.
So in short, it needs to come apart to be repaired properly
If the engine has a lot of blow by, you could re ring it, extending the life of the engine, the bottom ends are very strong and seldom require bearing replacement
Good luck on your repairs, just take your time and remember to get all your gaskets and seals before you start to prevent distraction an re-assembly.
You will need 4 lifter housing gaskets, 4 intake port gaskets, 4 exhaust port gaskets, 5 oil return tube O-rings(one for dipstick tube), and 20 push rod tube seals, and 2 carb base gaskets if needed.

How are the cylinders sealed into the lower? Is there a gasket, some kind of sealant, or just friction fit?

I'm pretty sure its metal to metal. When I was having problems with my pinz, Jim replied to a post and if I remember right, they get sealed with Permatex aircraft grade sealant. We use this sealant at work when reassembling the turbines at the power plants and it works awsome. Its alot more fluid than one would think and it seals up great.
