for the non-US members of the forum...probably not Pinzgauer

Post by texas pinzgauer »

As we have folks from all over the world weighing in on Pinzgauer related topics, I thought i would ask the question given the Obama inagural today, what is the sentiment in your part of the world with regards to our new President and perhaps more importantly, your view of the US?

I think we have a unique opportunity to hear what our fellow Pinzgauer enthusists are thinking so chime in if you wish.

Thanks.

I am really excited about the future if he stays alive. I think some ppl only see him as the first black president, but he is much more. You can see it by the ppl he is starting to amass around him. They are thinkers.

Now we all know (or should) that in the past their are many ppl influencing the role of the president and I think (my opinion only) george bush was a puppet period.

It's funny that the NESSARA agreement was supposed to be announced at 9:00 on sept 11th and there was the attacks that happened...coincedence..I don't hink so.

I think we need to really open our eyes...shut the tv's off an start thinking for ourselves. There's no way in Gods green earth the twin towers came down due to an aircraft hitting it.

It blew up from the inside and stayed within a city block.....yipper a plane can do that..not a friggin chance.

Then Kennedy had said he was going to change the banking system....hmmm..not very popular....dead 10 days later by a lone gunman who was then killed before he could talk to anyone...curious.

Tesla one of the greatest inventors EVER. Wanted to set up a system so that all the ppl of the world could get free power from the 8 hz band that surrounds the earth, but JP Morgan saw to it that he never got the chance...why...no profit for that SOB.

You see the whole system has to change before we can move on. I think Barrack Obama is poised to do it...over time.., but will he be allowed to do it.....that's the big question.

I think he is a leader of the people, for the people, of the people. Problem is there are a few people who make too much money on wars and off the backs of the poor and middle class and have all the tax breaks.

Will they allow this to happen is the question.

I am hoping he can stay alive long enough to make the changes cause we sure need it all over the world. I am sick of turning on the radio and the only thing I hear is tradgedy and death.

We need to provide for everyone and I don't think the way we are going we will even be able to feed everyone soon. If you look at China and India's population alone. The compounding will be astronomical.

Climate change is inevitable. The worlds rotation is slowing down. I don't think we are adding to the global warming as much as they are saying. Yes we are having an affect but the temp of the sun is changing also, but there is alot of money being made on the fear.

We have less to fear than fear itself. We are giving up our freedoms due to the fear the government is putting out there. I think many of the fears are unfounded, but they sensationlize it so much that people are panicking and in turn are giving up their freedoms for the illusion of saftey and so called security.

the gov should fear us not us fearing the gov. All they have to do to scare most ppl is talk IRS or Something like that and we all freak.

How is it that you can't leave a kid in a car anymore while you run into a store quick without getting charged and maybe losing your kids...That's NUTS and who voted that in.

Why do I have to wear a seatbelt....should be my choice, but now it's a friggin law..I never voted on that either or was consulted.

Baby seats, helmets, cribs...it's absolutely crazy. And you wait they will be paying money to get you to turn your friends in for violating some laws soon.

Sorry for the rant, but I know when the caca hits the fan I will be getting on my horse with my bow and I will be heading for the bush. YOu can have your cities.

I'm not interested in politics and naturally I can't speak for all Australians but I'm yet to speak to anyone here (who I know or deal with) who is really that interested in the Obama inauguration.
It's been on the TV here and the news, but apart from the fact that most Australians hope he can "turn" the recession of the largest economy in the world and hence improve world trading etc, I think many Australians (well as I said, most I deal with, meet etc) are generally either uninterested or oblivious to US politics.

The US and Australia have always had good relations and I think that is bigger and stronger than any politician, political party or policies.

Naturally Australian politicians are speaking it up, but strangely enough one reporter on the news the other day said the US and Australia may be less "chummy" under Obama than Bush, due to the fact that more nations feel they can have a better relationship with the US now, than the Bush Government, hence the US may have "more friends" than previously.

OK...Well that's my bit on politics...Now back to PINZGAUERS!

One thing is for sure - it will get even worse before it will get better. Banks and financial institutions have not yet declared all of their losses - why ?? I don't know, but more likely for the very same GOD that this world prays to - MONEY. If they divulge everything their shares will drop in the stock market....
.... and many more things haven't yet been told - let's see what future will bring us.
People working in the stock market haven't yet understood what they are really doing and certainly haven't learn a lesson from this. Look at what they did to the Volkswagen shares - only to be able to make a profit.

As for the new president of the USA, I think that most of the world is happy to welcome him and his administration. He has a serious task to do.
One thing that puzzles a lot of people here is that the previous administration knew that it wasn't too much appreciated and why wouldn't they do anything about it.

Finally, a lot of people, organisations, companies, ....etc have financed the campain of president Obama. Don't you think they will come now to the check out counter and ask for their wishes to be realized. Nobody really invests money into something without expecting a return. The question that remains, will their wishes comply with the agenda of president Obama.

Jacques

Don't think there has been a huge reaction in the UK to be honest, but the general sentiment seems positive.

Unfortunately for Obama the financial situation means he may be on a hiding to nothing during his term - I can't see things improving in the next year or so, but they could easily deteriorate...

Having said that, from a UK perspective I'm not sure he could be much worse than the outgoing Prez!
