Only in CA. I wonder if there CA. Approved? Surely not Wisconsin. The lights are nice but they can be bought for a lot cheaper else were. Probably the same guy trying to sell the pinz pics.
One marketing attempt could be make your pinz green use LED. Think I would go HID before LED.
Again I have never used these light's nor did I vote the for the current president. I'm sure these are pre approved By Russ. For GMC Goverment Motor Company.

Eric,
Actually, those are legal here in Wisconsin, just so long as you install them on your bicycle, and operate them off your own methane converter via a small generator which fits into your...
Never mind.
I assume the fellow selling them is our very own 'absolutesecurity', since the name's the same. ?? They do look very nice. But for that kind of ching, I can just hire my 13 year old to drive. He's still got good enough eyes to drive with the stock lights! Then I can drink beer in back.

Actually you cannot get them cheaper else where!
They are better than HID!
And they are DOT approved!
Yes thats me "Absolutsecurity"!
Difference between men and boys - price of toys! I guess.
I have them installed on my Pinz as well as on my H1 and I wouldnt use anything else for standard forward lighting ! However I will still use HID for my offroad forward lighting.
If you have any questions about the headlights you can read the link from Trucklites web page or contact me direct at:

Do you think the $$ will ever drop to where the average joe could afford a set? I would love to see them working in person. I bet they are pretty cool.ABSOLUTSECURITY wrote:Actually you cannot get them cheaper else where!

I remember being floored when I saw the first LED emergency light bar. They are so bright for their size, and the color quality of the light is amazing.
I can remember sitting on traffic stops and watching my headlights dim when the overheads where on due to the current draw. And that was with heavy duty alternators.
I have noticed one "bad" thing about LEDs. At night going to an emergency following another officer, they are so bright and with the flash pattern, I've almost gotten motion sick!

pricey headlights
Yes those are realllllly expensive.
But, I need something for the rear as my tail is not as bright as it needs to be. Are there LED bulbs to put into the brake light space in the tail lights that will not break the bank?
The bulb in there now has dual filament for running and brake.

Its the 3 lens one on the right page second down.
Really sweet lights and only about $500 for right and left if i remember correctly - I got them thru a bus parts dealer I know and will see about getting some pics when I get them installed some time soon (I really wish I could just upload pics to the forum).

That's still a lot of dough for rear lights!
A few months ago, I bought a set of later model TD rear light assemblies on eBay for less than $50. I'm in the midst of installing them and will send details and photos when I get that knocked out.
When I first realized how lame the stock rear lights were, I contacted a local Houston firm called Stasco. They sell truck and emergency lighting equipment. They mentioned that they could sell rear light assemblies with 24v bulbs.
I never followed up with them after I "shopped victoriously on eBay" but would be happy to if folks are looking for replacement rear light assemblies that would work for a Pinz. I suspect there are companies like Stasco in other major cities so you might check those first before.

Make sure the lights are good up to 28-32 volts otherwise if they are just spec'd at 24 you may have failures like I have had in the past with some american superlite or whatever crap on the Pinz when I got it - thats why I got the Trucklite taillights!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No fun losing tail lights - you dont know it untill people are almost rear ending you and honking madly at you and guess what its your fault if they hit you and they can prove your lights didnt work!!!!!!!!

I've been happy with these:

They're made by Peterson Manufacturing. Model 419-24V comes with standard bayonet type 24V bulbs. I ordered them from Mark at www.tankparts.com in Fort Worth. They took about 3 weeks to get and are about $30 each. Not a bad price and very bright for standard incandescent lamps. They're also visible from the side for a little added safety.
