Check out the Steel Soldiers website. They have a large contingent of folks back east and there is a Pinzgauer section. There may be someone in your area that can put you in the 'seat'.

Absolutely!
Mine will be here in NY in the next 2 weeks or so. mine is a 6x6. "Q" has a 4x4 which you can look at. There are a few of us here in Long Island. I will help you no problems like many did when I was about to get mine.
One word of advice: Take your time looking for one. Do not rush! I bought mine from AZ (I actually went to see it from NY) and sent it to the best Pinzguaer man out in the west - Jim Laguardia at Goatwerks.com for a complete check up. I would also want you to drive one before you buy. It's not for everyone. Secondly I would test drive both the 4x4 and the 6x6 before purchase. Trust me on this.
Make sure you come to the North East meet that I'm planning sometime as soon as I get my Pinz.
Send me a PM.

I presume you guys on the east coast must have a resource that is comparable to Jim Laguardia (Goatwerks), Thilo Kass (Thilo's Ultimate Offroad) and Scott Ingram (Expedition Imports) but those guys are way out west.
Who and where are the best Pinzgauer service resources on the east coast?

I met A guy from Brooklyn on one of the East coast gatherings. He worked at a VW shop he said they work on motor cycles to. Shop was on the West shore. I try and dig through my emails.
In Florida there is A mad German Friends of Russ from this forum. he imported some Pinzgauers and other things. Russ should reply with his shop Address. I sat up most of one night over a fire listening to him tell stories.
And of coarse the East coast has one advantage over the rest of us as they have a factory rep. MR. Krois.
I have never had work completed by any of them. I talk to Herbert by phone every once in a while. He is always very nice and goes out of his way to make sure I have something set up correctly. Alan Brags about him quit often on the forum.
One other suggestion is to call S.A.V. and ask or E.I.
Remember the forum is mainly west coast guys for what ever reason.
But both coast seem to have there share of pinzgauers.
