Madness at The DMV

Post by Peresh »

So I register my 712 in NY about 4 days ago and they give me a temporary inspection sticker valid for 10 days. I had some free time today so I took a trip to my shop mechanic who used a scanner to scan the window registeration and said to me "Oh it runs on Propane. Wow!".

My mechanic is known to smoke some very good jamaican buds and I thought he was just happy and I didn't think much of it until he said it again.

They registered it as a Propane operated vehicle. There is an "O" instead of a "G" on my registeration.

Now question for you guys is should I just leave it like this ? I'd hate to go to the DMV again just incase any more non-sense arises.

Thanks.
Peresh.

Do not change anything unless you have some weird emissions inspections. Otherwise who cares. Though you could likely change it easily, its not worth letting them take a second look at it.

Anyway, someday you might want to swap to propane. Then what?

It is best to leave a sleeping dog lye. Here in Wisconsin the DMV has given us all a hard time because someone had an issue with a registration. I would not say a thing and be glad you can drive it.
