Pacaya Vulcanoe

Post by karoja »

This is off topic, but a neat picture from the Pacaya vulcanoe that ashed all over us. Then, next day Agatha, and between the sand and the mud I lost my brake pads.

Great picture. My family and I hiked Pacaya a few years ago. We still talk about how in the US you wouldn't be allowed anywhere near it and in Guatemala you can go right up and stick a branch in the lava. Despite the assurances of the local "guides" the kids didn't need a donkey to get up it ;-)
