Anyone ever ship a Pinz by train?

I'm still trying to get my 712 from lake Havasu Az to DC. I'm on my second shipping broker and at a price of $1250, but I cant seem to get a bite from any trucks.

I was wondering if anyone has looked into shipping a vehicle by train? Are there any issues with it besides time in transit? Vandalism issues?

Interesting, my 712 is being shipped to Buffalo NY from Albuquerque NM on the 29th. If it all works out, its going to cost me $785.00

The issue with the pickup of your Pinz may be a combination of a few problems the first..if you pick a broker stick with only one..do not be tempted to list your move with multiple brokers doing so lessens your chances of getting the vehicle moved . The second issue may be that where the Pinz is located is not close to a major trucking thoroughfare, although you may have major highways close they may not be trucking lanes...so if your Pinz is out of the way you will have to pay a premium for a trucker to go off the beaten path to pickup your pinz. Another issue is the size of the vehicle and its heaviness..a car carrier containing 6 or more cars will have to put the pinz towards the front of the trailer which is fine if it is going to be the last off...remember these guys dont want to have to jockey your vehicle up and down a trailer. My suggestion to get your pinz moved is look into covered trailers they generally get .85/ mile and usually can only haul 3 vehicles at a time..but due to the premium rate they dont mind going out of the way. The second option is to find a shipper with his own trucks not a broker who owns no equipment...hope this helps..regards!

Im using Road riders Auto Transporters. They of course are a broker as well.

Honestly, its going to a random ZIP code in Buffalo right now. Likely in the end it will go to the main airport in Buffalo where I will meet it for the last time.
